Here is a small trick to hack your friend’s password.
You wont be able to know old password but you surely will be able to change it.
Step 1: Just start Command Prompt as an administrator.
Goto Start >> All programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt (Right Click) >> Run as administrator
Step 2: You will be presented with a black screen. Type
Net user
You will get a list of users.
Step 3: Now write
Net user <username> <new password>
(without < and > ofcourse)
Voila ! Password changed. Now u can ask him ransom to tell his new password.
Troubleshooting
1. I got an Error 5, access is denied.
>> This happens when you are not running command prompt as an administrator.

If you lost your windows log on password, you can try these methods:
Method 1: Log on as admin to reset the password. When installing Windows, it automatically creates an account “Administrator” and the default password is blank. If you have previously created a password reset disk, you can use it to reset the password also.

Method 2: You can try free software such as Ophcrack,Offline NT Password & Registry Editor,PC Login Now and Kon-Boot. More details here: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/tp/passrecovery.htm
Method 3: Use 3rd party password recovery tool (eg. Windows Password Rescuer and Windows password tools) to reset your windows password. See help page at http://www.daossoft.com/documents/how-to-reset-window-2000–xp-vista-win7-password.html
